Huge Nests!

These nests where freggin HUGE! I would hate to see what lives in them.

BUSTED!

This good for nothing ton of bricks is the one that is guilty for creating this post apocalyptic region. Him and his good for nothing family. You should be ashamed of yourself Mr. Elephant!

Ok jokes over.

This is getting ridiculous! Who did this?

Wait a gosh darn minute.

Where the hell did all the trees go? Whose responsible for this?

Where is the water?

A look at the dried up river. Dry season is officially here.

Delicious Guinea Fowl // B.

What do you get when you cross a female Guinea Fowl with a Male Guinea Fowl? More deliciousness.

Delicious Guinea Fowl // A

There were a lot of this little guys everywhere and they looked so delicious! This theory was confirmed when I had a Guinea Fowl Sausage at Wyrst. Mmmmmmm.

Mr.Frog

Another look at our bestie Mr.Frog. Im not sure why my ISO is cranked in these photos. Especially since i was using the external flash.

The final Sunset // E

And thats all she wrote.

The final Sunset // D.

I loved the silhouette of these trees.

The final Sunset // C.

I opened the camera back up as the sun set behind the mountains. I love how you can see the rays of light through the peeks of the mountain tops.

The final Sunset // B.

Cutting out as much light as possible with this shot. I just wanted the sun to be visible.

The final Sunset // A.

This is the beginning of our final sunset in Luangwa National Park. It was also probably the best and most memorable.

Uhm...

Do you ever get that feeling that someone is watching you? We drove into a HUGE herd of Water Buffalo when we turned the corner. They were startled for a few seconds then simply stopped and stared. The ALL stared at us for about 15 minutes which was about how long it took for everyone to get uneasy with all the glares. I'll be honest my heart was racing a bit.

Like father like son.

Two peas in a pod.

Three birds in a tree.

Three birds sitting in a tree. The little one said, "roll over, Roll over...

Say hello to my little lizard friend.

This little guy was just hanging out on the table beside me. He thought he was all camouflaged n shit. NOPE, nice try sucka!

Who the?

Hey, Kumbo, GQ called. They want their look back. And I thought you went to get us some Mosi?

Mother Giraffe.

This is the mother of the baby Giraffe in the previous post. THe pictures of hers turned out a little better than the babies.

Baby Giraffe.

This is one of the Giraffes that we saw from the other side of the swamp. I didn't notice all the birds on his/ her back when I took the picture. In fact I didn't see them until i saw the full size image.

This was a hard shot to get because of where the sun was. Most of my pictures of this little guy are way too blown out. It was hard to see the little LCD screen on my camera because of the glare of the sun. I over compensated by making upping the exposure. Don't do that.

I'm actually not that happy with this picture but it was the best out of the bunch. And since this is a photo journal it must be posted for future reference.

Two Saddlebill Storks.

What do you get when you have two Saddlebill Storks, one duck hanging out in a swamp? Oh, you heard that one? K, never mind.

We are actually going to drive the Land Rover through this swamp to take some pictures of Giraffes that We spotted on the other side.

"ZEEEEEBRAAAAAS!"

We didn't see as many Zebras as we thought we would in Luangwa. Jules LOVES Zebras so whenever we saw one she would yell at the top of her lungs "ZEEEEEBRAAAAAS!" The result was usually scaring the animals away and the shit out of our guides. I'm lucky to get any zebra shots at all.

A big tree.

The trees in Luangwa were most definitely impressive.

A cool tree house.

This is one of the places you can stay when you visit Luangwa National Park.

Be careful Baboon.

Stop monkeying around Baboon! It's not safe to sit that close to the edge. Why do I get the feeling you're not worried?

A view to a kill.

Another beautiful view in Luangwa National Park.

So nosey.

This little guy took time out from eating to come see what we were up to. He was definitely a nosey little bugger.

Dig for it!

A family of warthogs have their asses to the heavens because they are digging up their dinner by using their snouts as shovels. Don't forget to wash your hands before dinner piglets!

One Bird in a tree.

Hey look, a bird in a tree!

Saddlebill Stork.

A Saddlebill Stork just hanging around.

The Sausage Tree.

When we first saw the Sausage tree we thought our guide was playing a trick on us. We thought they hung these things in the tree to trick the "cityots". I can assure you its 100% bizarre and real. Apparently the Sausage fruit, which is completely inedible, can help cure skin cancer. Im not sure if there is any medical proof of that but thats what "they" say.

The Buck stops here.

Ok, ok, i'm sorry! Come back and be whomever you want to be. I just think your wife is a little upset with your recent behaviour.

No, you look great. I swear...

No, that fur doesn't make you look fat. You look great! BTW, if you are looking for your boyfriend he is hanging out with the Impalas. Don't worry I'm sure its innocent.

Nice try Water Buck!

You aren't tricking anyone by standing amongst the Impala Water Buck. You shouldn't be ashamed of who you are. LOOK AT ME WHEN IM TALKING TO YOU! Ah, forget it.

Impala family study.

This family of Impala were not that bothered by us. They just stood around while we took pictures. It was great to not have to have a moving target for once. That is until jr got excited and decided to run around. The rule of thumb is once one makes a move the rest follow. I guess its some sort of security reflex. Oh well, they usually take off after a picture or two so it was nice to have them sitting still for as long as it lasted.
